The conditional tense that means

I would…….if i were to…….

we express “if I won the lottery” in the same way.

Baswn is a tense of bod – it uses the “yn” linking word before a verb/adjective

If i won the lottery, I would go on holidays.

If you are listening to others talking, and dependent on their origins – they will use “swn i” and “set i” – i would, you would….etc…chopping the “ba” of the front of the appropriate form.

I am learning Welsh. This is really helpful. I wonder where taswn comes from, which verb. It it a derivative of a verb? I know it cannot be used on its own but from where does it originate?
